Introduction to the hospital facilities

Historically, the workroom opened at the time when the construction of Ward G was completed in 1991. Equipment which was actually used by a baker was purchased to start up the operation. It can carry out the whole process of bread-making from making the dough to fermenting and baking. It is not possible now due to regulations, but in the past, just-baked breads were sold by the bakers inside the Hospital. The breads always sold out quickly and were enjoyed. It had an institution-like status in the Hospital. Today the bakery is used by day-care patients in the work experience program. |
