Inpatient Treatment About the hospital treatment

Inpatient Treatment

Treatment is provided while the patient takes a break away from home or work. Specialist staff such as doctors, nurses and occupational therapists will work together to provide treatment and care to facilitate early recovery while assessing the patient's condition.

Flow of Inpatient Treatment

Hospitalization
The admission procedure for inpatient care is followed in accordance with the form of hospitalization such as voluntary, family request or legal action (admission for medical care and custody, involuntary admission).
Inpatient Treatment

Occupational therapy, recreation and daily life guidance are provided according to the patient's condition with a focus on drug therapy and psychotherapy. Depending on the severity of the patient's neurological manifestation, a limit may be placed on communication and/or activity (confinement in a closed ward with restriction on outings, confinement in a seclusion room, physical restraint) where necessary.

The cooperation of the patient and their family is appreciated, as it is the vital element of psychiatric therapy.

Release from hospital
The patient's release from hospital is examined from various angles including the views of the medical staff involved in the patient's treatment and the wish of the patient and their family before the release procedure is followed.
Aftercare
Specialist staff (psychiatric social workers) in the Medical & Welfare Consultation Unit are available for consultation on social rehabilitation facilities and rehabilitation. If the patient finds it difficult to visit the Hospital after release, he/she can be referred to a medical institution near his/her home.
