The procedures required differ according to the form of inpatient care that is to be received. This section explains about the procedures that apply to voluntary hospitalization.
The following items are required during the admission procedure.
Please bring the following items for staying in hospital.
Security deposit
Payment of specified security deposit is required on admission to hospital. The security deposit will be refunded in full or in part on the patient's release from hospital.Payment of hospitalization expenses
An invoice for the month is generated at the end of the month and is sent by post or given in person in the middle of the following month. The deadline for payment is the last day of the month the invoice is issued. On the day the patient is released from hospital, payment for up to the day of release is requested (the amount of payment can be checked the day before release).Please make payments in cash or with credit cards (lump-sum payments only) at the cashier’s counter, by bank transfer, postal money order, or convenience stores.
*We only accept credit card payments for deposits for overnight hospital stays. Credit card payments are only accepted from Monday to Friday (excluding holidays) between 9:00 and 17:00.
*Patients and their families are responsible for paying the handling and postage fees of payments made by bank transfer and postal money order.

Copay for food and medical expense (for nontaxable households)

The following fees apply to have the patients' pocket money or belongings managed.

Items prohibited in the wards
Items made of glass, items made of part glass, ceramics and magnetic items
Example: | Drinking glass, cosmetic bottle, mirror, photo frame, vase, ceramic cup, glass bottle (instant coffee, etc.) * Eyeglasses are exempt. |
Blades and other sharp objects
Example: | Knife, needle, razor blade, electric shaver, can opener, fork, kitchen knife, nail clipper, nose hair scissors, sewing kit, screw drivers and tools, umbrella. |
Home appliance with an electrical cord, Audio/Video machines, PC, and other communication devices
Example: | Cell phone, audio player with an electrical cord, camera (all types), home appliance with a cord, hairdryer, PC, radio / wireless machines, wireless LAN card, internet access device, electrical kettle, electrical blanket, cooking equipment, air-conditioning system (Battery operated audio player is permitted. Be sure to use the earphones so that the others are not disturbed by the sound). |
Combustible items, toxic substances, deleterious substances, organic solvent
Example: | Lighter (incl. fuel), replacement gas canister, combustible liquid fuel, air freshener, solid fuel, insecticide, mosquito stick, Vape Mat (insecticide), Haiter (kitchen bleach), glue, chemicals specified as toxic or deleterious (You will require approval from your primary physician to bring in medication that is not prescribed by us. Please enquire at the nurses' station). |
Food (fresh food), perishable food, food that has a pungent smell, alcoholic beverages
Example: | Kimchi, garlic, sun-dried horse mackerel, perishable food (fresh fish, sushi and eggs are permitted if they are eaten during visitation food cannot be stored in the nurses'station), all alcoholic beverages. |
Should a member of staff deems that an item that is not listed above is inappropriate to be kept in the ward in the interest of safety, the item in question will be kept by us or be taken home by the patient's family.
Smoking
A complete non-smoking policy enforced throughout the premisesTelephones and cell phones
There are public telephones available in the wards which only accept telephone cards. Telephone cards can be purchased from the Hospital kiosk.
Cell phones are kept in safekeeping and cannot be used in the wards. In the case of voluntary admission, cell phones can be used outside the wards between 09:00 and 17:00. Please note that cell phones cannot be used during the night.
