HOME > Overview of the new Ward
We aim to establish ourselves as a comprehensive psychiatric hospital and thus practice medical care for the "promotion of community based medical care" and "establishment of expertise". Community based medical care means the provision of medical care that is based in the community and is required in the community, and we are focusing on dealing with psychiatric emergency cases, dementia and complications arising from it. At the same time, we are focusing on specialist outpatient care such as sleep disorders and pediatric psychiatry, and specialist medical care such as stress management and psychotherapy. The new Ward has been added to fulfill the role of a "medical care zone" (described below), i.e., the "nucleus" of the functions of our hospital.
Under the concept of directly taking on the challenge of providing functions most required in the future of psychiatric care, and of serving as one of the models for the style of hospital in the field of psychiatric care, we have incorporated the EPU (Emergency Psychiatric Unit) and MPU (Medical Psychiatric Unit) in the new Ward. The ward also contains in the lower ground floor, testing rooms, radiology rooms, the Department of Dentistry and pharmacy, which support the above functions. It also has an outpatient area on the 1st floor, which is cohesively operated with Ward F with twenty-one consultation rooms, to enable the increasingly specialized outpatients receive consultation smoothly.
